We Recommend Joining local Composting Communities such as Compost Colorado in order to ensure proper composting of at home goods. Their are other composters and recyclers in the state but compost Colorado is the one we personally prefer to use and recommend with our business. Their mission started in 2018, CoCo collects compost, “completes the loop”, and connects everyone to an accessible gateway towards a more sustainable and regenerative future.
We aim to make composting mainstream and in the process support local, sustainable businesses and causes. We strive to make composting as easy, affordable, and available as possible - composting should be accessible and inclusive to all people.
Signing up for CoCo is an easy way we can all participate in reducing our green house gas footprint, reducing our reliance on landfills, and supporting our community.
The Role of Home Composting in the Circular Economy
Home composting is not only a great way to reduce your carbon footprint, but it also provides a valuable resource for your garden. By turning your food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich soil, you're closing the loop on the waste cycle and promoting a healthier environment.
But home composting is more than just a feel-good activity. It's a key component of the circular economy, which aims to keep materials in use for as long as possible. By composting at home, you're diverting waste from landfills and reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers, which are often made from non-renewable resources.
So, if you want to do your part in creating a more sustainable world, start composting at home
